Because it's available to him to conceive of it, and then to try it. To be the first sinner. To be the first saint, if you will. To be remembered. To NOT be insignificant in so vast a cosmos. Imagine how the first cannibal felt? "Wow. I just did that. Shake & Bake!" Now to eat somebody seems at best cruel, and at worse, blasé, pas`se´, and any other French word you care to throw at it. But on a purely reactionary note, I would love to envision a world where I could have a grand conversation with a tiger on the savannah or a conversation with a bald eagle and a great swim with a dolphin.
